Art Show

The girls and I have been trying out the Artistic Pursuits books. This is the art curriculum that I have been coveting for 3 years, but couldn't justify the cost. At $45 for each book, and a total of 9 books for the series, there was NO WAY I could pay that for an art program. But, lucky me, my friend Jen was cleaning closets, and getting rid of the first 2 books, and I snatched them and ran (Thanks Jen!!!). We are on the chapter where we are supposed to host an art show, and invite friends and family over to view their work. Since that's not happening, we are doing our own internet version! So, pretend you are sipping wine, tasting cheese, and viewing fine art.

Some of these are Artistic pursuit assignments, and some are stuff coming out of our co-op art classes. (Click on a picture to see it larger.)

Emma is SO thrilled that her great grandma is an artist (she used to paint), and sends her huge envelopes of artwork. She will be getting a massive package soon!

I love the pictures!! I can't wait to see more. It would be nice to see who made them, it makes the pictures more meaningful.

Love them all!! But, the flute and clarinet one is my favorite. :-) I know that Sarah Green, our old art teacher, has a whole blog JUST of her kids' art work. You could totally do that!
