Pioneer School

Big City has a pioneer school that

all the public school kids get to field trip to.

This year a friend of mine

organized a trip for the homeschool community,

and Princess got to go!

 The kids were supposed to dress in pioneer clothes,

and bring their lunch in a pioneer lunch container.

 They sat in the one room school house for lessons,

learned some history,

had a spelling bee,

ate lunch,

and learned some pioneer games.

Princess was really hoping to not get chosen

for the spelling bee,

since, like her mama,

spelling is not her favorite subject.

Much to her disappointment, she was chosen,

but to her relief, stuck out on the same word as several other kids.
