School, Mac Style.

School with Mac is an exercise in flexible thinking.

Pretty much every story problem involves a seeking of deeper truths.

"Why did he have sixteen lollypops?  And why did he give so many away?  If I had sixteen lollypops I'd........Can I have sixteen lollypops?"

"Where was the dog going?"

"Why didn't the girl just eat two?"

and on, and on, and on.

And now the questions have spread to phonics, which I thought was pretty straight forward.

The book shows a word, then three pictures to choose from.  The kid is supposed to pick the one that goes with the word.
Simple, right?

 But with Mac, they ALL go with!

The word hill has a drawing of an actual hill, a tree and a dog.  Mac picks the tree.

I ask why.

He explains:  That hill is tiny, just a pile of dirt, so not really a hill at all.  And behind the tree is a HUGE hill, but you can't see it, because the tree is in the way.

Makes perfect sense, right?

Then he crosses off the dog too.

"'Cause maybe his name is Hill."
