More Alphabet Fun

The further adventures of learning the alphabet for boys who'd rather be playing!
I found these fun puzzle pieces for building the alphabet.  They are a LOT like the Handwriting Without Tears blocks, only home made, so much cheaper. I found them here, and Nicole, the designer, includes a template for cutting out your own pieces, as well as the letter templates.
I printed the letter templates and bound them to keep them organized, but I wished I had just put them in a 3 ring binder instead.  My way does keep them all together, but as Mac immediately wanted to make words, so I wish I could line them up.
He started by laying the pieced on top of the templates, then galloped off to writing his name, then his brothers.
The part I loved the best about these was how independant he was!  All I did was flip the pages to whatever he needed next, and he built them!  Still doesn't know their names, but he really understands that they string together to make words!
