The Little Zoo

We went to what my kids call "The little zoo" last week with friends. This is not my favorite zoo, so we usually skip it for a visit to the big Omaha zoo,

and this visit was especially bad, as the heat and humidity was overwhelming. As my girls began to look overheated, we all agreed to zoom through the rest of the zoo and heat to somewhere with air conditioning.

And when we ducked into a little building to escape the heat, we were delighted to see......

A year ago we did a bug unit to help Mac overcome his fear of bugs. Think it worked?P.S. It was 101* when we got to the car, and the weatherman said a heat index of 112*!!! I've never been so happy to go to McDonald's in my life!
