Singer

I am a singer.

No, I don't mean professionally, I just mean I sing. Out loud. A lot. I sing along to the radio(heck, I wave my arms and rock out int the car!), I sing with commercials, I sing to myself, but mostly, I sing to my kids. These are my greatest hits:

"Brush Your Teeth Again, You Missed a Spot"
"Get Your Shoes On, 'Cause All God's Children Got Soul!"
"Get Your Jammies On, I'm Not Telling You Again!"
And my all time best: "Go to Sleep Little Creep" (that one I inherited from my dad, who sang it to me in my childhood!)

The best part is, you don't need a good voice to sing these songs. They don't even have set tunes! It can be embarrassing, especially when I don't notice I'm singing. I recently had a friend ask me, "Do you do that a lot?". I had no idea what she was talking about. Her kids did get their shoes on, so she can't say it didn't work!

Only slightly more embarrassing, sometimes my kids sing back. Then we're having a musical, right there in the McDonald's playland. (Reminds me of Lyle the Kindly Viking from Veggie Tales-"It's a musical".) Now we just need to work on the dance routines!
