Owl Babies Lapbook

We were supposed to be
on our "Fall Break"
last week, but after
seeing this lapbook
finished, I knew we
had to do it!
So here it is!

It came from Homeschool Share of course!

We learned about nocturnal and diurnal animals. Mac made a "nest" with twigs, leaves and feathers, and some thumbprint owls from Ed Emberle's fingerprint book. And, of course, he helped eat the cookies!

I heard "I want my mommy" about 100 times a day this week!

The girls are planning to make owl costumes so we can have a play later this week.

But the girls favorite part
was the cookies! We made
chocolate nests, with 3 eggs
of course, and two kinds
of owl cookies. One set is
the owl babies, the other is
the momma!

I loved sharing these cookies
with our elderly neighbor,
as she bakes cookies to share
with us quite often, and now
it was our turn to bake for her!

Looks like lots of fun and the whole time they were learing! Loving that (since I am a kinder teacher!) Way to go :)
