Not Me Monday

It's that time again! Time for you to see the real goings on in the house so wild it could only be called Keesler Chaos!

I did not drag my kids out into the sub zero temperatures and make them help me shovel snow. They did not have lots of fun, nor did they leave the previously scooped driveway covered with snow after having a snow fight. (No, not a snowBALL fight, 'cause it wouldn't stick together, so they just threw snow at each other.)

I did not make 3 batches of sugar cookies, 2 batches of brownies and a super sized pan of crispy treats and not let my kids eat any because they were for the concert.

I did not get SO organized this year that I wrapped the presents as I went, and then forgot to write down what they were. I did not have to peel them open to help me remember what was in them. I did not decide to be more organized because last year I found a gift tucked into the summer clothes when I got them out ...in JUNE.

I did not use the mutant reindeer Christmas cards the kids made. Nope, I only sent the pretty ones. So no one is getting a 3 eyed, 2 nosed reindeer card in the mail. Please don't choke on your cocoa when you get it, Just keep saying "It's the thought that counts, It's the thought that counts,......)

We have not put off setting up the tree for so long that it seems too late now. I did not talk my sweetie into foregoing it altogether. We are not going to throw tradition to the wind and put our presents under the manger instead. I am SO not going to claim we did it on purpose! It did help Mac make a firm connection that the presents are for Jesus' Birthday!

Lastly, I did not spend three days straight in the house, in my grubby clothes, not once going out. I did not leave the driveway un-shoveled, cancel the concert (at 5:00 AM!!), and let the kids have yet another jammies day, making a total of 4 in the last 3 weeks! A good mom wouldn't let a few days of sub-arctic temperatures and ice covered streets keep her down!

I hid Lael's birthday presents then "lost" them and then "found" them and decided to wrap them as Christmas presents!

Our Christmas presents are hidden all around the house. I can't remember what I bought. Only a few are wrapped and I can't remember where I put my husband's gift! I'll be tearing the house apart today until I find it.

I really like the idea of putting the presents around the Manger for Baby Jesus! Great list!

there is nothing in the world better than a weekend spent in pajamas.

My hubby did the same thing! He wrapped all the presents without asking me who they we all for and I had to open them all a little to write the tags! I couldn't get mad at him because he was trying to be helpful and if I said something, he'd never wrap again!! :o)

I think the mutant reindeer cards are going to turn out to be the favorites!

I found you on MckMama's blog. Great Not Me's! I most certainly do not hide in the house, staying in my pajamas all day, when it's frigid outside. Oh wait, I am right now.
