Winter WonderSlam

We took the big kids to Toby Mac's Winter WonderSlam this weekend. It was Emma's first big kid rock concert, and she was very excited to go. We got the kids T-shirts, and wandered around before the concert, then settled in to our seats. The the music started. The opening guy was B. Reith. He was pretty good, but my favorite part was his percussionist. The guy plated a big wooden box. I kid you not! When I grow up, I
want to play the box.

This was my other favorite instrument. We called it the giant calculator. Sorry the picture is so bad. There was lots of fog, and not a lot of light. The kneeling guy pushed the big buttons, and they lit up and made noise. I may not be musically inclined, but I think I can play the calculator.

This was the best part of the show. First a great set by Reliant K, followed
up by a action packed Toby Mac. Besides their names, my Mac and Toby have something else in common. I could NOT get a good picture, because he moved too much! I got lots of motion blurred shots, and only a few clear ones.

The kids had a lot of fun, but we were all glad we had brought our earplugs because it was SO LOUD! Mike kept his out, and yelled all the way home. This is a sign of our ages right? You know what they say: If it's too loud, your too old!
