We met our "Bubble Tuddy" (bible study) friends for some yummy fun at an apple orchard. We got a tour and history lesson, and then a taste test. Who knew apples could taste so different? The kids picked up the windfalls to throw into the woods for the deer, and the moms picked apples. All the other moms have big plans to can applesause, apple butter and pie filling. We have big plans for an apple lapbook! We had already decided to read "How to Make An Apple Pie and See the World", and now we can start! We are already planning on going back in a few weeks to pick some varieties that weren't ripe yet. Maybe I'll get brave and take some home to make my own applesause.
