Unbelievable

Today was the biggest roller coaster ride of all this adoption journey.

Texas called.  They wanted to know if we would take TWINS!

The only problem?  These babies were not with our agency.  They were with a lawyer, and one that wanted a LOT of money.  More than double what we thought we'd need to finish up all our expenses. Actually, almost triple.

He wanted the placement fee, legal fee, state fee, etc. for EACH baby.  PLUS the fees that our agency would charge.

We don't have that.  We can't even imagine how to come up with that in the next 24 hours.

We asked if he'd be willing to take half now, and the rest in a few months, but the he was unwilling.

So we had to say no.

That was the hardest no I've ever said in my whole life.

After saying no, our worker let us know that the moms from last week,
remember them?
Yeah, turns out they haven't chosen yet.  They haven't even looked at profiles yet.

So all those tears I dripped were for nuthin.  And we're back to waiting.  AGAIN!!!

Wanna know the funniest part?

When we hadn't heard anything about those two mamas, after two days of stressed out waiting, I climbed into bed for a good cry, and told God that if He didn't give us either of those babies, I was expecting twins.

Insert hysterical laughing.
