The Last Domino Topples

Well, I did manage to make it to registration before I too toppled into Flu land.  Our house has been little huddled piles of shivering people covered in mounds of blankets for days, followed by hacking coughs and faucet noses.  I, lucky mom, got to do the huddled and shivering WITH the hacking cough! 

Because I was in bed sleeping all afternoon, Mike took on "mommy" duty and babied the kids.  He kept the littles filled with sprite and sports drink, but left the bigs to handle their own liquid consumption, which turned out to be a mistake.  Because of Buddy's Sensory issues, he's very much out of touch with his body signals, and neglected to drink enough and got very dehydrated.  Mike  pretty much spent the whole day yesterday prompting him to drink.  When I explained the consequences of getting too dehydrated, and how it would result in a trip to his least favorite building in the world for an IV, Buddy promptly downed a huge glass of water.  That lasted all of an hour before he wandered back to Buddy land and promptly forgot to drink.

So to sum up my week, the house is a mess, no school done, or music practiced, we're eating kid food and coughing like a TB ward.
