As we drove up, Mac worried. He fretted and wondered, and finally admitted what was upsetting him. He didn't know how to hike. I explained several times the hiking was a lot like walking, only up and down hills, but he was sure I was wrong. So I finally told him I'd give him a hiking lessons after we got there. So after we settled in, we took off for a "walk", and after a few minutes, I let him in on the secret. He was hiking!

The kids favorite activity was pumping water. Everyone took a turn or six, (Even Mike!)and the bushes are now very well watered!

As the kids played, the collected berries, and sat them on a stump to show Nana. After some time, they wanted to show her the red, green and brown berries. Brown? What bush has brown berries, I wondered. So I walked over to look. OH! Those are DEER BERRIES! Yup, they'd collected poo!And what did Mike do on our camping trip? He hung out!
