We've been weathering some upheaval with our adoption agency for the last few weeks. They are, as far as I can tell, slowly fading their business into another agency. I was really nervous about what this would mean for us. We've already paid all our fees except the actual placement fee, and wondered if we were about to loose all that. Finally, last week, we got a call from our new social worker, and it sounds like things will be OK. She works for the new agency, and seems to think our profile (the books birthmoms look at) will go to the networks of both agencies, not just ours. Essentially, it gives us twice the number of agencies to work with!
We've been waiting, quite impatiently, to start building our profile book, but until we get the specific directions, we're not sure what to do. Each agency has an outline for them, some more strict than other, and we had no idea what to include, and couldn't seem to get an answer to that! Our new worker will be calling us this week to help us get started, and asked us to start gathering pictures.
This is the last step, before we actually start waiting to get chosen! We're SO close!!

How exciting! I keep checking back at your blog to see how things are coming along, and it sounds like God is blessing and pushing the process along just right. :)
hang in there...there's a sweet little baby after all the waiting.
Hooray for steps forward...even if they are itty bitty steps. : ) Happy profile book...I'm pretty sure that is much easier than the dossiers we put together for China & Vietnam!
