History, Art and Fun, All in One!

I know our neighbors think we're a bit crazy and when we do projects like this.  They already frown a bit at homeschoolers, and those who don't sit at desks with workbooks all day?  Is that even legal???

While we were doing our Australia unit, we'd planned to do an aboriginal style mural, but between our trip and the torrential downpours, we never got around to it.
But, when we looked through our new history unit, what was the first project?  A cave art mural!  So, we combined them, and had a lot of fun painting our garage door (covered with paper first)!

And how do I know this made the neighors doubt our sanity?  A car driving by almost hit the mailbox, as the driver peered at my paint splattered kids painting cave art on our house!  Homeschooling in Whoville is an adventure!

Who cares what the neighbors think! :) I bet your kids had a blast drawing on the garage door! LOL

I love the cave mural how cool. I wish you were my neighbor. I could look out my door and take notes on what you were doing.

That sounds like so much fun! I love how you're bringing history alive (and entertaining the neighbors!)
