Becky's Babies

Today we said goodbye to Becky's babies. The zoo finally called me back and said they'd take them off our hands. It was a relief, but kind of sad too. I actually asked the zoo employee if she thought we might be able to get another one from them when Becky dies.

I am sure that when Becky does die, I will be so relieved to see her go that we won't bother, but just in case....

We did manage to give away 13 babies. Can you imagine that there are 13 people (besides Mac) who'd want one of these beauties?

While we were there, we held some other bugs, and Mac wants one of these to keep.
It's a desert grasshopper. I think it looks like a "Heather" to me.

Are you certain of the gender of "Heather?" Perhaps you need a back-up name, like Owen. : )

Yep, that's Mac's and. He is SO brave. Emma held it too! All right, we can come up with some boy names too, but I am glad we named her Becky. Can you imagine if we'd had to announce that Henry had babies????!
