Kermit and Cindershella

We have been, until recently, fostering the last remaining hamster of a trio of brothers. This last furry guy, re-named Methuselah due to his extended lifespan, finally went to join his brothers in the strawberry patch last week. And, as planned, we purchased 2 hermit crabs to take over the lease on the aquarium, which leads me to the "Works for me" part of the post.

Pet sharing has turned out to be an awesome plan. When the little critters get to that "to boring to mess with" stage, we send them to the co-owners for a few months of renewed enthusiasm. After a few months away, the other family is tires of cage cleaning, and has reached the "I forgot to feed it!" stage, and is ready to be returned to us, and our renewed enthusiasm!

At our house, this is Kermit the Hermit and Cindershella. And because they will never come when called, the other family can name them whatever they want for their turn! This also works amazingly well for vacations, because there is a built in pet sitter!!!

And if one dies, you can quick by a new one and take it to the other family whose kids will just think the critter changed while away. ;)

Had to post you back regarding my Travel Tips. I know full well it was your talk--I still have my notes. :-) I also give you full credit when talking to people, but refuse to blog your name. LOL!!!

My children rise up and call Mrs. Keesler blessed everytime we stop and let them play while we eat.
