Lego Discovery Center

As we waited, not so patiently at the playground near the Lego Discovery Center, Princess sprained her foot.  Yup, big, fat, swollen bruised foot for the rest of the trip.  That girl can hop like no other!  Mr. K carried her all 3 hours we spent at the Lego center, so she could have fun too.
We had lots of fun, and lucky us, Chicago schools were still in session, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves!  Jasper, you shoulda been there!  We rode a dragon ride, walked through a jungle full of Lego animals, and rode the pedal power coaster.  Then, after some Lego lunch, we ran through it again!  Then a quick trip to Wal-Mart to buy an ace bandage and a stroller, to save Daddy's back and support Ellie's foot.  Next, on to the American Girl Store!

The American Girl store is so cool! I was like a kid myself in there. I thought about how cool it would be to work there. Get paid to play with dolls...dress them, do their hair and set up the displays. That would be really cool.

Wow - that looks like a wonderful place to visit. Ellie sound like a tough girl - nothing was going to stop her from enjoying the trip. Good for her.
